I saw an Anduril1 photo earlier about acquiring an edge computing company.
Someone made the observation:
Funny, this is like a more polished version of a "cyberdeck build". A cluster of tiny Linux PCs, storage, human I/O, radios, peripheral ports, and batteries in a couple of pelican cases.
You could make a Launch Ops version of this for managing pads at spaceports with very minor hardware tweaks, different software, and more RF/satcom.
It immediately made me think that this could be a business idea, something to get me out of working for someone else, and also let me experiment with some of my weird computer ideas. It's probably in line with some of the ideas in Collapse Computing and maybe Meshtastic.
I need a problem statement, a basic concept, and some starting points for research.
